Mexican Independence Day

We took over 1,000 pictures today!  We started our morning with a parade of marching bands.  Then this evening we watched a reenactment of the Insurgentes entering San Miguel de Allende. We grabbed a quick snack at one of the street stands. Afterwards we watched a beautiful presentation of Ballet Folklorico.  We did not stay for the fireworks following that, since we saw an amazing show last night when we watched El Grito.  What an amazing day!  And we are not done yet!!!  The fair is happening all month and there is still at least another week of activities with more parades, music and celebration.  I love living in Mexico!!!  Everyday is a celebration of life!
